Leeds Recovery College

Leeds Recovery College¬†offers free educational courses that focus on improving physical and mental wellbeing. The courses are designed to not act as therapy but to provide a way to help empower people to learn new skills and develop themselves, especially if they’ve had any recent struggles. They can help you learn more about mental health, identify what helps you keep yourself well, and how to get the most out of life.

Courses are open to anyone in Leeds, with no need to refer or to have a specific diagnosis or be supported by a mental health service. The courses are co-designed and co-facilitated by people with their own experiences of mental health challenges, so there’s a sense of shared experience present.

Courses include:

  • Introduction to anxiety
  • Introduction to creative mind mapping
  • Confidence and self-esteem
  • Developing your wellness toolbox
  • Using your lived experience and getting involved
